I love Boxers, I really do. This fellow has a decidely retarded look about him, but he's still adorable.

21st July, 2009

Buckley, a little 8 week old border collie cross staffy, was found abandoned in a Melbourne school yard. His ears & tail had been hacked off with scissors by some monster.

We have been inundated with donations & 'get well soon' cards & letters for Buckley. I have arranged a display of photos of Buckley & the letters & cards he's received in reception. This one was sent in by 2 kids, 1 was 4, the other 6 years old. Bless.

20th July, 2009

This is Ric & Gail's 'Toastie Kitty' at work. They've graffitied it with pithy sayings. The takeaway shop is called Crack House Gormett for a reason. Mainly because years ago, the man who owned it used to always have builders crack & was thus named 'Crack Man'. When he left, the woman who managed it became 'Crack Lady'. Gormett is our pronounciation of 'gourmet'.

19th July, 2009

Shaun is practising Rolling Stones songs. I don't think I'll bother going to any of the gigs.

18th July, 2009

I worked on the weekend. This squeaky dog toy adorns a shelf in reception.

New York snowglobe. It's the closest I'm going to get to NYC, at least in the short-term.

16th July, 2009

Yesterday on the tram I got talking to an old lady who was wearing a fabulous leopard print coat. She has lived in Melbourne since 1954. Before I got off the tram she gave me this lolly.

11th July, 2009

After yum cha at Red Emperor at Southbank, Shaun & I wandered - slightly drunk - around the city. We sat down for a bit in Bourke St Mall, opposite Royal Arcade.

This little guy has been named Albert. He doesn't like me.
